Carlyn has been busy this beautiful, crisp autumn with important tasks like preparing her wedding dress (she has decided to marry her stuffed horse Pegasus); raking immense piles of leaves; playing outside with Maryn during that otherwise-fussy period after dinner but before bath-time; and caring for her five fabulous cats in various ways.
It's a lovely time: the sort I imagined all those years when I was waiting to be a mom.

They're all great photos-I have two bespectacled nieces in 5th and 7th grade and this reminds me of them-but I especially love the one of the two girls on the grass.
